First, what this page is. Self-assessment 2 is not a test. There are no marks and no right or wrong boxes. It is a page where you tell yourself, honestly, how you learn best. It comes after Units 3, 4 and 5, so it is asking about everything you have done in chapters 5 to 10: The Frog, What a Tank!, Gilli Danda, The Decision of the Panchayat, Vocation and Glass Bangles. The Note to the Teacher on page 136 says the sheet is to be filled in by the learners themselves and kept as part of their progress record. You may tick more than one box for every point.
The poems in these three units are three: The Frog (Unit 3, page 55), Gilli Danda (Unit 4, page 79) and Vocation by Rabindranath Tagore (Unit 5, page 105).
How to answer this point: Think of the last time your class said one of those poems aloud. Did you stand up and say it on your own? Did you say it with your group? Did you wait for your teacher to say each line first? Tick every box that is true for you. If you prefer to read poems silently, the last box is a perfectly good and honest answer — the book has put it there on purpose.
