How to find the order yourself:
- Look for the word that starts everything. Decided — you decide before you do anything. So sentence 3 is first.
- Look for the clue words. Sentence 5 begins “After resting”. Resting must come before it. So sentence 1 (sitting to rest) comes just before sentence 5.
- Walking comes before sitting. You have to walk into the forest before you can sit by the stream. So sentence 4 comes before sentence 1.
- The feeling comes last. Sentence 2 says he “felt grateful for the time he spent” — the past. That can only be said at the end.
