Reasons you can use:
- They are very old. The fort was built “long ago”, and it is still standing. The statue is there “even today”.
- They carry a real story. A real queen, Ahilya Bai, really lived there and ruled from there.
- They look unlike anything we see daily. Balconies that “seem to float in the air”, grand staircases, red stone brought from two other states.
- They sit in a beautiful place. A hill, a river, and temples all round.
- They keep skills alive. The people there still weave Maheshwari sarees.
Sample answer: Historical places are interesting because they are very old and they still stand. Maheshwar Fort was built long ago by a real queen, and we can still see it. When I look at the overhanging balconies, I can imagine Queen Ahilya Bai looking out from them at her kingdom.
Why old places pull us in: A photograph shows us the past. A fort lets us stand inside it. When you touch a wall that is hundreds of years old, the story stops being only words in a book.
