F — false.
Chinna wanted the bells for his pet kid, Tara, not for a bicycle. The last line of the story proves it: “Chinna happily tied the tinkling bells around Tara’s neck.”
Why this is worth noticing: The story never mentions a bicycle at all. When you answer a true/false question, look for the words in the story. If the story does not say it, do not tick it as true.

Write ‘T’ for true or ‘F’ for false: 2. Chinna's mother, Kamala, comforted him when he came home feeling sad.
Answer
T — true.
Kamala saw him drop his bag and rest his head on the table. She asked gently, “What happened, Chinna?” She laid her hands softly on his shoulders, wiped his tears and said, “It’s ok, don’t cry.”
The word to keep:comforted means made someone feel less sad. The story uses the word consoled, which means the same thing.

Write ‘T’ for true or ‘F’ for false: 3. The fruit seller gave Chinna twenty rupees extra as change.
Answer
F — false.
The extra money was ten rupees, not twenty. Chinna himself says so: “The fruit seller gave me ten rupees extra by mistake.”
Two pineapples → 45 + 45 = ₹ 90
Change due from ₹ 100 → 100 − 90 = ₹ 10
He handed over two ten-rupee notes → ₹ 20
Extra → 20 − 10 = ₹ 10
Where the trick is: Twenty rupees did change hands. But ten of those rupees were the correct change. Only the other ten were extra. A true/false sentence can be wrong by just one word.

Write ‘T’ for true or ‘F’ for false: 4. Chinna decided to keep the extra money and bought chocolates with it.
Answer
F — false.
He wanted to. He whispered, “Can I buy the bells and some chocolates?” But after his mother spoke to him, “He ran back to the fruit seller to return the extra money.”
Why the answer is false: Wanting to do something and doing it are not the same. Chinna changed his mind, and that change of mind is the whole story.
Q5.
Write ‘T’ for true or ‘F’ for false: 5. The fruit seller was unhappy when Chinna returned the extra money.
Answer
F — false.
He was the opposite of unhappy. The story says, “The fruit seller was very happy. ‘You are an honest boy,’ he praised him.”
