About this chapter
Reena and Amit travel to their village near a forest at harvest time. On that day their village became a fully solar-powered village. Village houses are made of clay, hay, cow dung and other natural materials. Grandmother's paints come from flowers, leaves and powdered coloured stones. Neem leaves inside pots and cow dung outside baskets keep stored grain safe. People pray to nature, dance to the dhol and nagada, and protect sacred groves.
