Q1.
What are the things in your home that need electricity to work?
Answer

Many things at home run only on electricity — the fan, the tube light and bulbs, the television, the fridge, the mixer, the iron, the water pump, the mobile charger, the cooler, the washing machine and the doorbell.

Sort them by the job the electricity does:

What the electricity doesThings at home
Makes things moveFan, mixer, washing machine, water pump, cooler
Gives lightTube light, LED bulb, torch, mobile screen
Makes soundRadio, television, doorbell, mobile phone
Makes things hotIron, geyser, electric kettle, induction plate, room heater
Makes things coolFridge, air conditioner, cooler
Notice something: Electricity can do all five jobs of energy. That is why it has become so useful. One set of wires reaching your house can move a fan, light a bulb, sound a bell, heat an iron and cool a fridge.
An easy way to find them all: Look for a plug and a wire. If a thing has a plug going into a socket, or a switch on the wall, it needs electricity.
