Q1.
What makes you feel joyful?
Answer

This question is about you, so your own answer is the right one. Nobody can write it for you.

How to answer:

  1. Think of one moment when you smiled a lot.
  2. Say what it was, in one sentence.
  3. Say why it made you happy, in one more sentence.

A good answer names a real thing and gives a reason. Two or three sentences are enough.

Sample answer: I feel joyful when my whole family sits together for dinner. Everyone tells a story from the day and we laugh. I also feel joyful when my team wins a kho-kho match at school.
Try this: Ask two friends the same question. You will find that joy comes from different things for different people.
Q2.
Can you think of a good activity that you can do together with a friend?
Answer

Name one activity that needs two people. That is the key to this question.

What a good answer must have:

  • the name of the activity;
  • what each of you will do;
  • why it is better done together.

You may choose any one of these:

  • making a chart for the class;
  • planting a sapling in the school garden;
  • cleaning the classroom;
  • playing kho-kho or badminton;
  • singing a song or making a rangoli;
  • reading a story aloud, turn by turn.
Sample answer: My friend and I can make a chart on birds for our class. I will draw the birds and he will write their names. Together we can finish it in one day. Alone, it would take much longer.
Why two are better than one here: Each friend does the part he is good at. The work is shared, so it is done faster and looks better.
Q3.
Have you ever lost a game? How did you feel?
Answer

This is your own memory, so write about a real game you played.

How to answer:

  1. Name the game and say when you played it.
  2. Say how you felt just after losing — sad, angry, like crying. It is all right to say so.
  3. Say what you did next, or what you learnt.
Sample answer: Yes, my team lost a kabaddi match on Sports Day. I felt very sad and I did not want to talk to anyone. Then my friends said we had played well. We practised harder and won the next match.
What the poem says about this: “Win or lose, we always share, / Our bond of trust is always there.” A good team stays together after a loss too. Losing does not break a real team.
Q4.
Imagine you are the team leader of a group project, and two of your teammates disagreed with each other for some reason. What would you do to unite your team again?
Answer

First, listen to both of them. A leader must hear both sides before saying anything.

A good answer should have these steps:

  1. Stop the fight calmly. Do not take any side at once.
  2. Let each one speak while the other listens quietly.
  3. Find what is common. Both of them want the project to be good.
  4. Share the work. Give each one the part he or she is best at.
  5. Remind them of the goal and ask them to shake hands.
Sample answer: I would first ask both of them to sit down and stop shouting. Then I would let each one say what the problem is. I would tell them that we all want the same thing — a good project. I would give one friend the drawing work and the other the writing work. Then I would ask them to shake hands and start again.
Why this works: Most fights happen because each person feels unheard. When both get a turn to speak, the anger comes down. After that, a shared goal pulls the team back together.
