Answer

The same grid with all ten words marked. Each colour band covers one word.

A neat thing to spot: LOYAL and LOVE share one letter. The last L of LOYAL (row 3, column 9) is also the first L of LOVE. In a word grid, two words are allowed to cross or overlap like this.
How to search quickly: Take the first letter of a word — say the F of FAIR. Find every F in the grid. There is one in row 2 column 5, one in row 4 column 12, one in row 7 column 11 and one in row 9 column 6. Check each one going across and then going down. You will land on FAIR at row 9.
What these ten words mean: They are all words about being a good person.
calm — quiet and not upset
honest — truthful, one who does not cheat (this is Chinna in the story)
love — a deep, warm caring for someone
respect — treating others as they should be treated
courage — the strength to do the right or hard thing
loyal — standing by your friends and family
truth — what really happened
fair — giving everyone an equal chance
kind — gentle and helpful (this is Kamala in the story)
