Anant plays hockey.
The poem says, “Active boy Anant, / plays the game of hockey, / even when the ground is rocky.”
Why the poet adds “even when the ground is rocky”: A rocky ground is stony and bumpy. It is hard to run on and the ball does not roll straight. Anant plays there all the same. That one line tells us he is truly active — he does not look for excuses.
