A. Divide the class into small groups and imagine that you are forming a Lagori team. Each team will create your own ‘Lagori Team Badge’ using art and creativity, reflecting your understanding of teamwork and traditional games.
Instructions:
· Materials Needed: Drawing sheets, coloured pencils, markers, glitter, and any other decorative materials.
· Each group will decide a name for their team (e.g., Rainbow Runners or Sky Warriors).
· Design a unique badge or logo that represents your team’s spirit, values, or region.
· For example, you can include images like stacked stones, a ball, or symbols of unity and tradition.
Once completed, each group will present their badge to the class and explain: the meaning behind their design; how it reflects the spirit of Lagori and teamwork.

This is a group activity. Nobody can do it for you — but here is exactly how to do it well.

Step by step:

  1. Sit in your group. Four or five children is a good size.
  2. Choose a team name. Take one word from your place and one strong word, like the book’s own Sundarpur Tigers. Everyone in the group must agree on it.
  3. Choose a shape. A shield, a circle or a star all work well for a badge.
  4. Draw the main picture in the middle. The pile of seven stones is the best sign of Lagori.
  5. Add two small pictures at the sides — the ball on one side, and something that means togetherness on the other, such as two joined hands.
  6. Write the team name in big letters above or below the picture.
  7. Colour it and add glitter last, after the pencil lines are finished.
  8. Get ready to speak. Each group must say what the design means and how it shows teamwork.

Sample answer — what to say when you show your badge: Our team is called the Seven Stones. In the middle of our badge we have drawn the pile of seven flat stones, because Lagori is a game of seven stones. On the left is the ball that knocks the pile down. On the right are two hands joined together. They show that no one child can build the pile alone — we need the whole team. We coloured the badge yellow because we play in the sunshine.
What makes a good badge: Every part of it should mean something you can explain. A badge with three well-chosen pictures is better than a badge covered in pretty drawings that mean nothing.
