Write the names of 3D shapes in the correct places. (1) A — All faces look the same; B — All faces do not look the same.

Answer
Look at every face of the solid and ask: are they all alike?
A — All faces look the same
B — All faces do not look the same

sphere (only one curved surface, the same all over)

Why it happens: A cube is made of six squares of exactly the
same size, so turning it makes no difference. A cuboid has a long face and a short face,
so the faces do not match.

Run a finger along the edges. Does the finger go straight, or does it
curve round?

Tip: The sphere goes in neither circle — it has
no edge at all.
Why it happens: An edge is the line where two faces meet. Where a
flat face meets a curved face the line has to bend, so the edge is curved.

Why it happens: A triangular prism has 3 rectangles on its
