This is your own survey, so your numbers will be your class’s numbers. Do it like this.
- Frame one clear question: “Which of these do you play — chess, cricket, both, or neither?”
- Make four headings on a page: Only chess, Only cricket, Both, Neither.
- Ask every classmate one by one. Put one mark under the heading they choose.
- Also write B for a boy and G for a girl beside each mark, because two questions later ask about boys and girls.
- At the end, count the marks under each heading.
What a correct result looks like: each classmate is counted exactly once, so the four counts added together must equal the number of children in your class.
Sample answer: in a class of 30 children — only chess 6, only cricket 12, both 8, neither 4.
