Answer 1 kg of Kaju-katli is 1000 g. Fill boxes of 500 g until 1000 g is used up.
500 g + 500 g = 1000 g
That is 2 boxes
Mr Das will need 2 boxes.
Why it happens: Packing 1000 g into boxes of 500 g is the same as asking how many 500 g make 1000 g. We keep adding 500 g until we reach 1000 g.
Q2. Mrs Fernandes wants the sweets in boxes weighing 250 g each.
Answer 1 kg of Kaju-katli is 1000 g. Fill boxes of 250 g until 1000 g is used up.
250 g + 250 g + 250 g + 250 g = 1000 g
That is 4 boxes
Mrs Fernandes will need 4 boxes.
