I agree with this statement. When many hands work together, a big problem becomes a small one.

The chapter gives a real example. In Kanker, in Chhattisgarh, the Chinar river often overflows in the rainy season. Goods and vehicles could not move, and reaching schools and hospitals became a major challenge. During one such rainy season in 2024, the entire community came together and built a simple yet strong bridge in just two days, using bamboo, stones and other material. Now students can reach their schools and villagers can cross the river easily.

The same thing happened in Chandan's village. The park needed repairs, and one family alone could not have done it. Sameer mended the benches, Babita repaired the street light, Noor brought saplings, and the park was ready in no time.

Do this:

1. Ask your parents or grandparents about a day when the whole lane helped.
2. Think of the last festival, a wedding, a heavy rain, a power cut or someone's illness.
3. Write when it happened, what the problem was, who came to help, what each person did, and how it ended.

A good answer names real people and real jobs — not just "everybody helped".

Sample answer: Yes, people in my locality do come together. Last year, heavy rain filled our lane with water and mud. On Sunday morning every family came out. My father and two uncles cleared the choked drain. My mother and the neighbours swept the mud away with brooms. We children picked up the plastic bags and carried them to the dustbin. By evening the lane was clean again, and everyone drank tea together at Sharma uncle's house.
