Do this:
- Go for a short walk in your lane with an elder. Carry a small notebook and a pencil.
- Write down each place you pass — the shop, the road, the health centre, the police post, the school.
- Beside each one, write what that place or that person does for other people.
- Ask yourself one question at every place: What would we have to do ourselves if this place were not here? The answer is the connection.
What a correct answer looks like: every line must name a service — something the place gives to the people around it. "A shop is big" is not a connection. "A shop keeps the things we need close to our homes" is.

Why they are connected: Each one needs the others. The shopkeeper needs the road to bring his goods. The road carries the doctor to the health centre. The health centre treats the shopkeeper's family. Nobody stands alone — and that is what makes a community.
