Step 1 — find what everything costs together.

  1. 26,000 + 17,000 = 43,000  (cow and goat)
  2. 43,000 + 19,873 = 62,873  (add the milking machine)

Step 2 — compare with his savings.

  1. He saved ₹92,375. The cost is ₹62,873.
  2. 92,375 is bigger than 62,873, so he can afford everything.

Step 3 — find how much is left.

  1. Ones: 5 − 3 = 2.
  2. Tens: 7 − 7 = 0.
  3. Hundreds: 3 is smaller than 8. Take 1 thousand. Hundreds become 13, thousands become 1. 13 − 8 = 5.
