Fill the lines from the smallest place to the biggest place, and write Earth on the last line. That last line is the same for every child in the world — and that is exactly why the box is printed here.
How to fill it, step by step:
- Write your full name, the way it is written in the school register.
- Write your house number, or the name of your building. If your house has no number, write a landmark — “beside the peepal tree”, “opposite the anganwadi”.
- Write the name of your street or lane. In a village this may be your mohalla or tola.
- Write your village, town or city.
- Write your district. Look at the top of a school notice or a ration card if you are not sure.
- Write your State or Union Territory.
- Write your country — India.
- Write your planet — Earth.
Sample answer — yours will be different for the first seven lines, and exactly the same for the last one.
