Answer

Build your talk in the same three parts that Chitra and Balamurali used — name → materials → method. Use the sequence words from page 137 so that your listener can follow the order.

Part of your talkWhat to say
Name“I know about the art form called …” — give the name and the place it belongs to.
Things needed“They need …” — list the material, the colours and the tools.
How it is made“To make it, first … after that … next … then … at last …” — four or five steps in order.
Sample answer: I know about the art form called rangoli, which we make in my town on Diwali and on Pongal. They need dry rice flour, coloured powder, flower petals and sometimes small diyas. To make it, first we sweep and wash the floor in front of the main door. After that, we mark a grid of dots with white flour. Next, we join the dots to draw a lotus or a peacock. Then we fill each part with a different colour, working from the middle outwards. At last, we place lighted diyas around the edge. A rangoli lasts only one day, but the design belongs to my grandmother and she has been drawing it for fifty years.
Speaking tips: Face the class, speak slowly, and pause after each sequence word. If you can, bring a photograph or a small sample of the craft to hold up while you speak.
