Yes. First fold the strip into three equal parts (roll it like a letter) — each part is 13 of the strip.

Now fold that folded strip once more into two. Each third gets cut into 2 equal pieces, so the whole strip now has 3 × 2 = 6 equal pieces.

Half of 1/3 = 1/6
So 2 pieces of 1/6 = 1/3, and 6 pieces of 1/6 = 1
Why it works: halving a fractional unit doubles the number of parts in the whole — thirds become sixths, quarters become eighths, and so on.

(a) 5 times 14 of a roti — draw 1 full roti cut into 4 quarters, and one more roti with 1 quarter shaded.
