What we notice
- Multiplying by 100 simply writes two zeros after the number: 11 → 1100.
- Doubling the group size (100 → 200) doubles the answer: 1100 → 2200.
- Doubling the number of groups (11 → 22) also doubles the answer.
- Doubling both doubles it twice: 1100 → 2200 → 4400.

Why it happens: The answer counts how many hundreds there are. Twice as many groups, or twice as big a group, means twice as many hundreds.
