Q2.
We Know 80 × 100 = 8000. Find 80 × 50 = ________ and 40 × 50 = ______
Answer
50 is half of 100.
So 80 × 50 is half of 80 × 100.
Half of 8000 = 4000
40 is half of 80.
So 40 × 50 is half of 80 × 50.
Half of 4000 = 2000
Why it happens: If one number is halved, the answer is halved too — we are taking half as much each time.
Check it yourself: Check the other way: 40 × 50 = 40 × 5 Tens = 200 Tens = 2000. ✓
