  • b) Doubling always makes two equal groups, so the answer is always even.
  • c) 5 × 1 = 5 but 5 × 2 = 10. Sometimes the ones digit is 5, sometimes 0.
  • d) Odd and even take turns: 7 → 8, 13 → 14. Always true.
  • e) Half of 8 is 4 (even) but half of 6 is 3 (odd). Sometimes true.
  • f) 25 + 0 = 25. Adding 0 changes nothing, so it never increases the number by 1.
Why it happens: “Always true” needs the statement to work for every number. One number that breaks it is enough to move it to “sometimes true” or “never true”.
