About this chapter
The same object looks different from different places. The top view, the front view and the side view are three such pictures. The top view is what you see looking straight down. The front view is what you see standing in front. The side view is what you see from one side. We see along a straight line. If a wall, a tree or a pot stands on that line, it blocks our view. A grid tells us a position by its row and its column, for example Row 1 and Column 1. On a grid we move only up, down, left or right. One move is called one step. A sight map is a top view of a place. It helps us find a route and compare which route is shorter.
